Signs It’s Time

Does Your Pool Need a New Liner?

Vinyl liners don’t last forever. Sun, weather and pool chemicals wear them down over time. Here are the most common signs it’s time for a replacement.

Fading

The pattern and color look washed out, especially above the waterline.

Wrinkles

Folds or wrinkles on the floor or walls that won’t smooth out.

Leaks & Water Loss

You’re adding more water than usual, or you’ve found tears or holes.

Pulling From the Track

The liner has slipped out of the track at the top of the wall.

Stretching or Brittleness

The vinyl feels stiff or brittle, or looks stretched around steps and corners.

You Want a New Look

A new liner pattern is one of the easiest ways to update your whole backyard.

20 Mil or 27 Mil?

Liner thickness is measured in mils. Many Latham patterns come in more than one thickness, and we’ll help you decide what makes sense for your pool.

20 mil

Standard Thickness

A common, dependable choice for many residential pools, available in a wide range of Latham patterns.

27 mil

Thicker & More Durable

A heavier liner with a more substantial feel and added durability. Latham also offers SuperMax 27 mil patterns.
